          In early 2024 I made a decision to change my life for myself and my family. Aside from working as a cook and in customer service, I also began working from home to build a foundation of skills I believed would change our lives forever. 

          Working from home presented it's own set of challenges. As a poor 22 year old, I did not have a home office, I did not have comfy chairs, standing desks or a relaxing environment. Within just the first few months, without help or success in sight, it became too much for me to handle. 

          I could not handle working for long hours in such cramped spaces with stuffy humid air or during freezing cold nights. I could not enjoy standing in my room working hunched over my bed. Soon my body began to ache, and my dream was seeming to fade.

          What changed the pace and quality of my work was actually...giving up! Not really. In truth, I started to change the quality of my environment - I paid more attention to my posture, how clean my room was, how much light I was getting, how clean the air I was breathing was. That changed my mood and how productive I wanted to be.
